Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian alternative country/blues/folk rock band who, for more than 30 years, have remained true to their unique artistic vision and to the introspective, quiet intensity that is their musical signature. The Trinity Session, the band's seminal 1988 album, is a melancholic mixture of blues, country, folk, and rock featuring a collection of originals, covers and traditional songs that was named one of the top ten albums of the year by the Los Angeles Times. With over a dozen albums, countless major television appearances, and continued touring throughout the world, the group has created a critically acclaimed body of original work that has endeared them to an audience unwavering in its loyalty.

Cowboy Junkies
As the name implies, Cowboy Junkies fabricate music that is emotive, somnolent and infused with a somber, country-tinged sweetness and angst. The purveyors of this unique musical amalgamation are a quartet of Canadians, featuring the synergy of the brothers-and-sister team of Margo (vocals), Peter (drums) and Michael Timmins (guitar), completed by non-related bassist Alan Anton. Margo's appealingly languid vocals and the band's penchant for achingly reworked songs, including Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane" and Patsy Cline's "Walking After Midnight," have earned Cowboy Junkies a loyal core of fans, plus loads of critical kudos.
